Basic Blacksmithing Classes
Starting at $170
Are you new to blacksmithing and eager to embark on a fulfilling journey of craftsmanship? Our Basic Blacksmithing classes are tailored specifically for beginners. Learn the essentials of blacksmithing, including gas forge operation, metal identification, hammer control, forging techniques, heat treating, and tool usage. Through hands-on projects, you'll create 3-4 unique pieces to take home and showcase your newfound skills. Our classes provide a supportive environment for growth, ensuring you gain confidence and competence in this time-honored craft. Classes start at $170, held in Garden Valley, CA.
Specialty Blacksmithing Classes

Are you ready to take your blacksmithing skills to the next level? Our Specialty Blacksmithing classes offer advanced instruction and specialized knowledge for those who have mastered the basics. Delve into the world of cutlery making, tool making, and more. These classes focus on advanced projects that require special joinery or forge welding techniques. We highly recommend taking our Basic Blacksmithing class first to build a strong foundation before diving into these specialized classes. Expand your repertoire and refine your craftsmanship under the guidance of our expert instructors. Classes start at $185, held in Garden Valley, CA.
Weeknight blacksmithing classes
Starting at $85
Weeknight classes are designed for shorter workshops and specialty projects. Participants will learn the use of gas forges. We will cover metal identification, hammer control, forging technique, heat treating and tools. You will get a chance to make 1-2 projects you can take home in a 3-hour class. These classes are constantly changing. Classes are held in Garden Valley, CA and start at $85. Minimum age is 11, students between 11-13 must attend with an adult with a paid class spot. Every student 17 and under must have a waiver signed by a parent.
