Tongs and Tools Blacksmithing Class
This class will cover the making of chisels, punches and blacksmithing tongs to use in your own forge. We will make tongs from 3/4" by 1/4" stock as well as rivet making and punching for the rivet in your tongs. Participants will go home with one set of tongs, punch and chisel of their own creation. Heat treating will also be covered. The basic class is not required but will be helpful in your understanding of the basic forging processes. We will be using heavier stock in this class so an understanding of your hammer skills will help a lot.
